Parkwest’s commitment to job site safety is backed by our full compliance and adherence to the guidelines in our comprehensive Injury and Illness Prevention Program. We strive to maintain a safe workplace and injury-free environment. We have Workers Compensation through State Fund and are a member of US Health Works Medical Clinic network. Our Superintendents follow safe practices and OSHA guidelines and conduct on-going daily site inspections and weekly safety meeting and are well versed in their Injury and Illness Prevention Guides. To keep current with CAL OSHA changes and requirements we use Safety Consultants from Safety Compliance Company to provide on-going education and training including CPR and First Aid and also conduct quarterly unannounced site inspections and provide training and written documentation on their findings. Encouraging safety and reducing risk is a core principle of our organization and we have an excellent safety record and a low xmod rate.
As a General Contractor to insure safe working conditions are maintained we require site safety meetings from our subcontractors. They are responsible for conducting weekly tailgate meetings and provide written documentation to our site superintendent and maintain a safe working environment for everyone on the job site.
